When should I apply?
Even simple requests, such as special seating or extra time on practice tests, may take time to arrange. To avoid any delay in getting accommodations, please make your request early, ideally 90 days before the course begins.
What accommodations will I need?
To help you determine what accommodations you will need, we recommend that you contact your local BAR/BRI Patent Bar Review administrator to learn about the format of the program and its materials. Ask:
- What will the lecture schedule be like?
- What books and class handouts will I get and how do I use them?
- What types of practice testing are involved?
The BAR/BRI course is different from law school courses. It is extremely condensed and requires you to blend the three components - lectures, substantive outlines and practice testing exercises to bring you to peak performance for your bar exam The more you know about the BAR/BRI course the better you can determine what you will need.
